Nasi Tempong Indra was founded in 2006 by Mrs. Indra. Before establishing the stall, Mrs. Indra started her business by opening a pharmacy in Bali. At the peak of her success, Mrs. Indra had 5 pharmacy branches in various areas of Bali.

However, when she wanted to expand her business wings by opening a travel business, she went bankrupt due to being deceived. In 2006, Mrs. Indra started a new business by opening a restaurant that sells Banyuwangi specialties, namely nasi tempong. Her first stall was named Nasi Tempong Indra.

The Uniqueness of Nasi Tempong

The uniqueness of Nasi Tempong compared to other lalapan lies in its chili sauce. As the name implies ‘Tempong’ which means ‘slap’ where the taste of super spicy raw chili sauce like being slapped but addictive is the hallmark of this restaurant.
